Omg, EuniqYou got scammed! 01/30/2010
...ok almost. You see, you remember the Fashionista Bazaar that I was all hyped about few weeks back at Far East Plaza? It got pushed forward and was eventually cancelled due to some lame reason that Far East Plaza suddenly rejected this event. It was total bullcrap to us, and that was all I thought it was. Then Bazaar Indulgence (BI) contacted all the vendors again and said that to make it up to us, they have arranged for another bazaar on 20 & 21 Feb. Being the skeptical one, I suggested to Kitty that either 1. refund us half the amount first, then pay the balance on the actual day, or 2. give us a $30 discount for the inconvenience caused. However, we heard NOTHING from them. So Kitty being the more vocal one, bombarded them commenting their efficiency in requesting for more money (like rental of clothes rack, tables, etc) but nonchalance to replying about refunds or any other inquiries. A week after, $160 was refunded. BUT $10 short! Again, Kitty bugged them again for the money to no avail. I tried slamming them on their FB account as well to forewarn others to avoid them all cause. Little did I know... yesterday I received an influx of comments and concerns from vendors who were involved in this "bazaar" and werent as lucky as us. Then I realised....... we nearly got scammed. You will see it here, here & here. Photo credit: Source Update: Kitty found another thread on the forum - a sms conversation with the potential scammer's husband who is with the police force. (wot a bitch! her husband's career is at stake because of her too) From there, I also realised that they were about to leave for a holiday (with our money!??!). Beware of couple - Jane Lim & Keith Chua. Lesson learnt: Never ever ever trust these so-called organisers till you have done your background work on the organiser & the venue provider. Still, best to only pay 50% of the rent till the day your booth materialised. This black sheep has caused so much pain and distrust in the community now that it will dampen the spirits of future budding entrepreneurs a chance to partake in bazaars in future. It has been a well known fact on pushcart.sg forum that Jane Lim had been cheating the money of many poor vendors and smashing their dreams of their entrepreneurship. They had banned her and she got desperate and started to show up in different identities to "promote" her events. In fact, she also conned her "partners" into this scam by collecting the stated rent from the various vendors and making them squeeze into one small stall instead of one to one booth. Then only pay half of the booth rent to her "partners". Such cheap skate thing to do. Well, all I can say is if you love & respect yourself so cheaply, others will love you back the same way. Good luck to her husband and her karma. EuniqYou New Homes! 01/26/2010

Update: The event is now cancelled due to the rejection of the management at Far East Plaza and some non-organised organiser (pun-intended). I am so upset now! Hi to all my fans, friends, and those who read but don't comment! SAVE THE DATE! 16 & 17 Jan 2010 (Sat & Sun) 11am - 9pm Far East Plaza 14 Scotts Road Chinese New Year is coming by, so is Valentine's Day! I will be selling very new and exclusive designs on those days, and very apt for the festive too! I do hope to see you there, or just drop by to say HI! Cheers! Merry Xmas & Happy 2010!!! 12/30/2009
How did you spend your Xmas? I had a quiet yet meaningful midnight mass with Adrian & Ya Li, it was memorable. The next day, we had a mini Xmas lunch and the food was sumptuous! It was full of joy and catching up with people who I last saw a year back, and getting to know some of the church people better as well. To make this festive season more joyous, Ryan & Priscilla wedded on Boxing Day! Boy, my mascara ran...no, I wasnt sad, it was so so touching. The wedding vow from Ryan to Pris was hilarious but had so much more dept in it - beautiful. The bride's gift to Ryan was a short clip of their love story and her promise to Ryan - Aw, why make me tear so many times!! Haha. They are a match made in heaven - We loved because he loved us - how apt. Other than sobbing, Ya Li & I paid so much attention to the details so that we can plan our good friends, Jack & Ling's wedding seamlessly. They came back to Singapore unexpectedly 2 weeks back and now back in Seattle. However, I am extremely happy to have them back during this holidays! :) I might have exceeded my happiness level for the month with these delightful events :P Anyhoo, I hereby wishing you a great (wotever that is remaining) 2009 & a even greater, better, BIGGER 2010!!! EuniqYou Celebrates Christmas with You! 12/01/2009
The past long weekend has been so so awesome! I had a great staycation & bbq at D'Kranji Farm Resort. It was so refreshing to explore the greenery instead of the concrete walls of Singapore. Now that November has gone, it's Christmas time!!!!!! I love hearing the Christmas songs playing at every corner I go, see decorations whenever I shop and meet high spirit (probably because Christmas is near) people at social meetings. Every year, I would love to make something special for friends and family. Some year, I make Christmas cards, at times I buy when I get lazy. This year, EuniqYou will be celebrating Christmas with y'all! For you, do remember to select or customise something for that special someone. What other better day to show your appreciation than Christmas? For that, I will personally gift-wrap your item and mail it straight to their doorstep with no extra charge! Be sure to gimme their mailing addy (not yours!) and a special message to them when ordering. Cheers and have a GREAT DECEMBER ahead!! EuniqYou featured on Kittylo.com 11/16/2009
Honestly, scoring interviews is not my forte. I reckon examinations are easier than answering interview questions! Haha. Anyhoo, Kitty Lo is an aspiring blogger who had recently been retrenched from working at one of the big fours! Yes, life is too darn unpredictable BUT it has opened another door of opportunities for her. This is it. An amazing woman with many wonderful tales ahead. Remember, one door opens to many other doors too! Product Styling 11/03/2009
I had always admired the beautiful photoshots of the simplest mindless items, especially home decors. As an accent to the surroundings, these items surely did bring out the essence of the photo. The unnoticeable things like a phone, bowls, or keys are made so gorgeous, people jump to click the 'buy now' button. Now, I need to innovate my product stylin' as my product line ensues. {images} EuniqYou the Chic(ken) 10/28/2009
EuniqYou has been obsessed with all the feathers and has been making and making and making those feather fascinators!! I want one for myself too! So I did. Each time I make something for myself, they comment that I keep the best for myself. Haha. Do I? I would keep ALL to myself :P So, I have decided I will add a housekeeping tag to all the fascinators I have made because all the feathers are flying everywhere!! Each time I sweep the right corner, the feathers fly to the left corner. It is worse than chasing the chicken itself! Ok I am exaggerating, but you get the drift. And I am kidding on the extra tag too :D I placed all of them above my bedside lamp because my masquerade mask was tied to it. I think it looks kinda pretty but the picture doesn't give justice to it tho. Anyhoo, it is just a sneak peep. ![]() Happy Birthdays! 10/21/2009
Yes, it wasn't a grammar mistake. That is because my bestie had like 3 surprises last weekend for her birthday! She celebrated her birthday like twice over before the actual day! The spirit of the birthday has been spread to everyone else too as we all had a blassssssst!! For her pressie, I made her a chiffon tulle flower fascinator (hair piece.) And she LOVED IT! She couldn't stop wearing it, evidently, even when she was in the pool. ![]() It was her unimate's birthday back in August as well, and she requested me to make this for Chloe! ;) Hope she liked it as much as we did! ![]() Not forgetting my dear friend - Annemarie, it was her birthday 2 weeks back as well. So I brought out my pliers and beads; weaved her a flower and rolled it together with a banglet for her! It was an absolute hit! :D HAPPY BIRTHDAY Y'ALL!! |
